Walking foot
Below is a photo of a walking foot that will fit on a Bernina sewing machine. This attachment usually does not come with the sewing machine; it is an extra. (There are some machines that have built-in walking feet, however these are very rare.) Most sewing machine shops carry these attachments.
The walking foot is secured to the sewing machine like any other attachment, with one exception. A little 'arm' must be attached to the shank also. Often this fits over a screw on the shank.
