Stilleto

The stilleto below comes in handy when machine piecing. I use the point to help guide and hold the fabric as it goes under the presser foot. This prevents "shifting" that may occur when sewing. ("Shifting" the fabric may cause inaccuracy in your piecing.)

Most quilt shops carry these tools.
