Meander

Meandering refers to a type of random stitching. Below is a photo of a macine quilting sample. The meandering stitch is in the center of the piece.

The stitching toward the bottom of the photo also appears to be random, however the stitches are a little different. These stitching lines cross over each other. I refer to this stitching as stippling.
