Baltimore Album
I wish I had a completed Baltimore Album to show you but all I have are a few appliqued blocks. At first I set my sights on making a Baltimore Album quilt with 25 blocks. Now I'll be happy if I can complete 9 blocks.
The blocks below came from patterns by Elly Sienkiewicz. (She's the leading expert on Baltimore Album quilts and has many books on the market.) Both the red fabric (top photo)and the green print (bottom photo) were appliqued to the white background fabric. Some blocks found in Baltimore Albums are similiar to these blocks. Other blocks are much more fancy using multiple pieces of fabric, ribbon embroidery, penwork, etc.
